Hungarian ambassador says Hungary will give scholarships to Pakistani students for higher education

Hungarian Ambassador in Pakistan, Istvan Szabo called on Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, here Tuesday and both discussed issues of mutual interest, promotion of bilateral relations, increase cooperation in agriculture, food processing, tourism, culture and industrial sectors.
According to a handout, talking to the Hungarian Ambassador, the chief minister said there were close friendly relations between Pakistan and Hungary and the Hungarian investors could benefit from vast investment opportunities in Pakistan especially Punjab. He said that a number of foreign companies were making investment in infrastructure, energy and transport sectors in Punjab.
The chief minister said that excellent measures had been taken under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for the stability of economy and promotion of investment in the country. He expressed desire to promote cooperation between Hungary and Punjab in agriculture, food processing, tourism, culture and industrial sectors. He said that work was in progress speedily on CPEC projects in Pakistan including Punjab. He said that CPEC projects would not only benefit Pakistan but the entire region.
Ambassador of Hungary said that Pakistan’s economy was improving and there were a number of opportunities for investment. He said the present government had provided a favourable atmosphere for investment in the country and Hungary wanted to benefit from the existing opportunities. He said that steps would be taken for improving trade and business relations with the Punjab government. He said that Hungary would also give scholarships to Pakistani students for higher education.
