A 30-year-old man was found dead in the limits of Baghbanpura police limits on Sunday. Police claimed that the man, yet to be identified, might have died of some medical complications. Some passersby spotted him while going unconscious on the road near Angoori Cinema. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he expired. Police shifted the body to morgue.
HELMET CAMPAIGN: Motorway Police Central Zone has introduced a new enforcement campaign promoting the use of quality motorcycle helmets as part and parcel of motorcycle riding.The central zone so far impounded 2,273 motorcyclists for not wearing helmet and later released them after showing helmet and other formalities in last couple of days. This was stated by Zonal Commander DIG Mirza Faran Baig while reviewing the road safety campaign at Zonal Office, Lahore.
The campaign aimed at making the motorcyclists to understand the importance of wearing helmets regarding head safety. Zonal Commander said that wearing a quality helmet, correctly fastened was one of the most effective road safety interventions known for riders and passengers.
Four wardens booked: Lytton Road police Sunday registered a case against four traffic wardens for manhandling a female lawyer. Two among the four traffic wardens against whom a case was registered were identified as Rashid and Nadeem. The female lawyer Nasreen alleged that the wardens had snatched her gold chain while exchanging hot words with her.
