Partly cloudy, hot and relatively humid weather is expected in the provincial metropolis on Friday (today).
Seasonal low lies over central Balochistan and its adjoining areas. A westerly wave is still affecting upper parts of the country and likely to persist during next 2 to 3 days.
Rain-thundershower occurred at scattered places in upper KP, Zhob, Rawalpindi divisions, Islamabad and Kashmir, while at isolated places in Sargodha, Quetta divisions and Gilgit-Baltistan. Parts of the country where it rained on Thursday were Zhob 52 mm, Mirkhani 51, Peshawar (City 47, A/P 18), Murree 19, Kotli 18, Pattan 17, Cherat 16, Kalam 14, Rawalpindi(Chaklala 8, Shamsabad 04), Rawalakot 7, Kohat 5, Islamabad (Saidpur 11, Golra 5, Z.P 04), Garhi Dupatta 2, Dir, Kakul, Mangla 2, Balakot, Barkhan, Hunza 1 mm.
The maximum in the city was 37 degrees Celsius while the minimum was 27. The maximum in the country was 41C at Dalbandin.
In the next 24 hours, rain-thunderstorm associated with gusty wind is expected at isolated places in KP (Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Mardan, Kohat, Bannu, DI Khan divisions), Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Gujranwala, DG Khan, Zhob, Kalat divisions, FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir. Hot and dry weather is expected elsewhere in the country.
