Secretary Health Punjab Jawwad Rafique Malik has taken notice of a news item published in daily The News dated August 26, 2015 regarding non-implementation.
The notice was regarding non-implementation of the instructions of Health Department for the revision of stipend of house officers according to the revision of BS-grade 17 as agreed upon under the clause 4 of the notification issued in 2013 by the Public Sector Hospitals .
Secretary Health directed the Additional Secretary Health Admin and DS B&A to issue direction to the quarters concerned for implementation of agreed decisions, said a spokesman of Health Department Punjab.
anti-dengue: Member Provincial Assembly Lubna Faisal has said that strict action is being taken against the persons not helping anti-dengue campaign during peak season.
She said all the departments concerned and anti-dengue squad should ensure regular surveillance and should not allow water to accumulate at any place.
She expressed these views while presiding over a meeting of the Town Emergency Response Committee Lahore and Walton Cantonment Board Cantt. Deputy Secretary Higher Education Nauman Jameel, EDO Health Cantt. Dr. Asif Iqbal, Senior Entomologist Saeed-ur-Rehman, head of various schools and colleges of Cantt, representatives of Fisheries, Cooperative, Education, Health Departments, DHA and Army attended the meeting.
Lubna Faisal directed all the departments to inform her about the measures taken for outdoor and indoor surveillance for protecting the people against dengue during monsoon season. She said the anti-dengue teams should regularly inspect the high risk areas and further accelerate spray and sweeping activities at the dengue prone places. The meeting was also given a briefing regarding steps taken with regard to anti-dengue campaign at the Cantt and different areas of cantonment.
