A writ petition has been filed in the Supreme Court seeking trial of Muttahida Qaumi Movement Chief Altaf Hussain before International Court of Justice (ICJ) for his hate speech against Pakistan Army. Barrister Zafarullah Khan filed the petition in SC Lahore Registry. The petitioner said Altaf Hussain was nominated in different cases of heinous crimes including demanding extortion, killing innocent people and rebellion. He said courts declared him proclaimed offender but the Pakistan’s government could not arrest him so far. The petitioner submitted that there was agreement between Pakistan and Britain regarding the exchange of criminals and it was the reasons that by every day Altaf Hussain speaks against Pakistan and its armed forces. Many times he blamed institutions and forces of the country and defamed them across the world which was equal to the rebellion. Now he was asking UN and India to interfere in internal matters of Pakistan, he submitted. He prayed the court to direct the government to register high treason case against Altaf Hussain not only in the country and take the matter before the International Court of Justice.
