LAHORE
Anjuman Fidayan Mustafa (AFM) office bearers condemned MQM chief Altaf Hussain for making an objectionable speech against the armed forces and Pakistan ideology, demanding the government to repatriate him to Pakistan with the help of Interpol since he has now become an enemy of Pakistan.
Addressing a seminar on Monday in connection with Urs celebrations of Maulana Shah Ahmad Noorani, AFM leaders Hafiz Akbar Jatoi, JUP leader Dr Mufti Najeeb Ahmad Hashmi, Muhammad Hanif Chishti, Ashraf Raza Qadri, Mufti Khurshid Siddiqi, Maulana Saqib Naqshbandi, Sufi Saeed Ahmad Chishti and others warned the government that if did not take actions against the enemies of the state and nation, than situation would become worse. They warned the MQM leadership did not deserve any concessions, adding that action should also be taken against MQM Sindh governor Dr Ishratul Ebad.
flayed: The Civil Society Network Pakistan condemned the highly objectionable statement given by the MQM chief Altaf Hussain on Sunday. The statement is against the sovereignty and integrity of the country as he blamed Pakistan armed forces and its institutions, the words he used in his speech are not just objectionable but against the sovereignty of the country. The statement issued on Monday said that Altaf Hussain while addressing his party workers convention in London on Sunday scolded India for not helping the Mohajirs in Pakistan and he invited the NATO and UN troops in Karachi to determine the cause of bloodshed. Under the article 5 of the Constitution, loyalty to the state is the basic duty of every citizen as well as obedience to the Constitution and law is the obligation of every citizen wherever he may be. But Altaf Hussain violated the Constitution and in these circumstances he can be tried under article 6 of the Constitution.
The government must take action against Altaf Hussain for inviting enemy forces against Pakistan and its armed forces. He did not use such language first time but since March 2015 he is threatening the armed forces. The Network saluted the armed forces that are defending the country at all levels and demanded that government should instruct Pemra that it should not allow the media channels to air Altaf Hussain’s speech.
Drive: Punjab Women Development Minister Hameeda Waheed-ud-Din has directed the department to accelerate the campaign about protection of women rights. She was chairing a meeting of Women Development Department. Secretary Aamina Imam gave a briefing to the minister on the departmental affairs and progress. The minister directed that the targets of women package 2014 should be achieved within stipulated period. Instructions were issued in the meeting regarding Harassment Act 2012, working women hostel, training of domestic workers, measures about the women development, and research for ensuring participation of women in private sector, public awareness campaign and other important issues.
