Departments of Theriogenology, Clinical Medicine and Surgery and Pet Center of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore in collaboration with the Selcuk University of Turkey organised a four-day hands-on training for the faculty members of the University College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Islamia University Bahawalpur.
According to a press release issued on Wednesday, two experts from the Selcuk University, Hasan Alkan and Parlak Kurtulus, and six experts from the UVAS acted as resource persons and trained the participants in the areas of surgery and theriogenology/animal reproduction on various species of animals, including large and small animals, canines, caprines and canines. The objective of the training was to impart latest techniques of surgery and theriogenology/animal reproduction to the veterinary faculty of the Islamia University before their induction into the Cholistan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Bahawalpur. Field visits to commercial dairy farms have also been arranged for the participants.
