3 extortionists arrested

Lahore police arrested three extortionists of Lyari Gang for demanding extortion from the brother of provincial minister Mujtaba Shuja Rehman.
The members of Lyari Gang contacted Mian Assad-ur-Rehman, brother of provincial minister Mujtaba Shuja Rehman, and demanded extortion from him. They warned him that they would kidnap him if he failed to fulfil their demand. The arrested persons belonged to Karachi and were attached with Lyari Gang.
suicide: A father of two children committed suicide by taking poisonous pills in the Shalimar area on Saturday. Imtiaz, a resident of Shalimar Scheme No 2 who came from abroad some time back, had gone into depression after he suffered a financial loss in the business. On the day of incident, Imtiaz locked himself in a room and took poisonous pills. As a result, his condition went critical. He was taken to a local hospital where he expired.
