LAHORE Garrison Education System (LGES) Chairman Major General (r) Liaqat Ali has said that academic institutions equipped with a team of mature, dedicated and motivated educationists can play a key role in grooming the youths into healthy members of society.
Addressing a gathering at the Scholarship Award Ceremony here Friday, he said the ceremony was aimed at acknowledging the efforts of the hardworking students. He said there was no substitute to hard work and meaningful success comes only if one strives for excellence. He urged the teachers that they had a vital role to play in nation building and advised them to dispense their responsibilities with even greater sense of commitment.
He emphasised the need for grooming the students into men of character and integrity. He lauded the efforts of LGES in fulfilling its goals of providing quality education and congratulated the students who attained scholarship. Certificate: A certificate awarding ceremony was held at Fazaia College of Education for Women Lahore on Friday.
According to a press release, Begum Talat Sohail, President Pakistan Air Force Women’s Association (PAFWA), graced the occasion as chief guest while Begum Rukhsana Khan, wife of Vice-Chief of the Air Staff, PAF, was also present. The chief guest awarded certificates to 42 students who completed the course in Montessori Method of Teaching (MMOT). Later, President PAFWA also distributed laptops along with the merit certificates among 23 high achievers of various disciplines. The said laptops were announced by Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif during the 2nd convocation of Fazaia College of Education for Women Lahore. Earlier, Mrs Naz Gul Sayed, Principal Fazaia College of Education for Women, briefed the guests about the role of the college in imparting quality education to women of Pakistan. Fazaia College of Education for Women is not only one of the prestigious colleges of Pakistan Air Force but also a premier educational institution in the country. —Correspondent
