LAHORE
PAKISTAN Awami Tehreek (PAT) Monday criticized the government for its alleged slow action to evacuate Pakistanis from Yemen.
Addressing PAT central working committee meeting, Supreme Council president Dr Hassan Mohyiuddin said the government must ensure safety of all stranded Pakistanis and if any untoward incident took place the prime minister will be directly responsible.
He urged the government to give details of the number of Pakistanis stranded in Yemen.
The meeting expressed concerns over the closure of Pakistani consulate in Yemen under present times when it was needed the most. The meeting also expressed concern at the dubious LNG deal and said if government is not getting any kickbacks, commissions or is not involved in corruption then it should make the details of the deal public instantly. The meeting prayed for the health and quick recovery of Dr Tahirul Qadri.
