A DELEGATION from Armed Forces Post Graduate Medical Institute Rawalpindi, comprising of 40 officers under the supervision of Commandant AFPGMI, Major General Viqar Ahmed Khan, visited the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre.
During their visit, the group members were brought around different departments and faculty of the hospital. They were briefed about the functions of some important departments of the hospital by their respective heads and representatives. Dr. Aasim Yousaf, Medical Director, briefed the delegates about the advanced development and modern medical facilities being provided to patients and also apprised them of the current and future plans and targets. The delegation lauded the state-of-the-art medical facilities being provided to the cancer patients by this unique hospital, irrespective of their ability to pay. At the end, the head of the delegation, Major General Viqar Ahmed Khan, presented a souvenir to Dr. Faisal Sultan, Chief Executive Officer of the Hospital, for his dedicated work to make this hospital an internationally acclaimed institution.
