LAHORE
CIA Civil Lines Police arrested five members from two gangs involved in robberies and preparing fake registration books of stolen vehicles on Monday and recovered valuables worth tens of thousands of rupees and illegal arms.
The arrested members have been identified as Muhammad Akram aka Akri, ringleader of Akri Dacoit Gang, Ali Raza, Majid Ali, Amjad, Hassan Ali, Mustafa and Shahid aka Kalia.
CCPO Amin Wains ordered special police teams to be constituted in order to arrest the gang members. The team arrested the accused and recovered cash, four laptops, three LCDs, mobile phones, weapons and other valuables. Their criminal activity was traced at Kahna, Johar Town, Township, Sattukatla, Mughalpura, Defence and other areas.
The team recovered two stolen cars, two Sindh registration books, nine in-voice sale certificates, four letter pads and a registration book of two companies. DIG Investigations Shahzad Sultan ordered commendatory certificates for the team members.
