Two killed, nine hurt in road mishaps

Two people were killed and nine others, including seven children, were injured in different road accidents on Friday.
Seven people, including deaf and dumb children, were injured when a speeding Shehzore truck collided with a special school van and then dashed into a car near the Baloch Colony Bridge in the Tipu Sultan police jurisdiction, while they were going towards their school.
They were taken to the Hill Park Hospital for the treatment and medico-legal formalities.
Ghafoor Ahmed, 28, died after he was struck by a vehicle near the Water Pump Chowrangi in the Landhi police limits, while he was going on a motorcycle.
In the Pirabad police limits, Sakeena, 40, was killed and a thirty-year-old woman along with a three-year-old boy was injured when a vehicle ran them over near Kati Pahari, while they were crossing the road.
In the Surjani Town police limits, two-and-a-half-year-old Ahmed, son of Salahuddin, drowned in the underground water tank of his residence situated in Yousuf Goth, while he was playing in the veranda. His dead body was later found in the underground water tank.
