The Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) arrested a suspected drug paddler and seized 410 kilograms of hashish from his drug den in Gulshan-e-Maymar on Thursday.
The man, Imran Shah Sanjrani, was returning to his den after buying 10 kilograms of hashish near Safoora Chowrangi when AVCC officials stopped his vehicle and found the narcotic in it. The suspect said he had bought the drug from Wahid Bukhsh Sanjrani and his brother Azizullah Bukhsh Sanjrani from his den near Dubai Palace.
The police then raided the drug den of Wali Muhammad Brohi, his accomplices Sharif Phatan, Imran Quetta Wal and Ali Quetta Wal situated in Tharo Mangil Brohi Goth in Gulshan-e-Maymar. The police seized 400 kilograms of hashish from the den. All the suspects escaped, however.
Earlier in the day, the Anti Narcotic Force (ANF) arrested an alleged drug paddler and seized four kilogram of heroin from him.
According to a spokesman for the force, an ANF team discovered four kilograms of heroin concealed in a secret cavity in a vehicle, and arrested the driver during a routine check near RCD Highway. The ANF, sources privy to the development, believes that the heroin belonged to two most wanted drug paddlers, known as Sanjrani brothers.
