An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Thursday awarded 21 years’ imprisonment to two men for possession of illegal weapons and explosive materials.
Shahbaz Khan alias Abdul Khaliq and Gul Badeen were arrested on June 26 last year from Malir. Two rifles, grenades, two pistols and other weapons were recovered from their possession.
A fine of Rs50,000 was also imposed, a failure to pay which may result in an additional six-month jail term.
As the prosecution proved the charges the court awarded 14 years’ for possession of explosive materials and seven years’ for illegal weapons.
