17 SHOs transferred and posted

The Additional IG Karachi Ghulam Qadir Thebo on Friday reshuffled 17 Station House Officers (SHOs) of different police stations in the city.
Sources in the police department said the city police chief while going through the performance reports found that many SHOs had failed to perform their duties diligently. Subsequently, show cause notices were issued to the officials but no improvement was witnessed in their performances.
Finally, on Friday the city police chief decided to reshuffle the SHOs and post new officers to curb crime in their respective areas.
The SHOs posted to new stations are: Inspector Khan Mohammed Sheikh as SHO Korangi, Inspector Ghaffar Korai as SHO Bilal Colony, Inspector Tanveer Hussain as SHO Pirabad, Inspector Aslam Khakhrani as SHO Jauharabad, Inspector Akhtar Jawed as SHO Gulberg, Inspector Safdar Mashwani as SHO Chakiwara, Inspector Haseebullah Qureshi as SHO Eidgah, Inspector Abdul Haq Qureshi as SHO Liaquatabad and Inspector Alam Dehri as SHO Arambagh.
Orders were also issued for the posting of: Sub-Inspector (SI) Ejaz Ahmed as SHO Shah Faisal Colony, SI Akhlaq Ahmed as Jamshed Quarters SHO, SI Khalid Nadeem Baig as Sharea Faisal SHO, SI Saddat Butt as Landhi SHO, SI Rana Khushi Mohammed as Kharadar SHO, SI Mithal Sehar as Gulshan-e-Maymar SHO, SI Munir Chandio as Baloch Colony SHO and SI Haq Nawaz Baloch as Awami Colony SHO.
A day earlier, five SHOs had been axed for having ‘political leanings’ The SHOs relieved of their postings were Gulberg SHO Athar Malik, Shah Faisal Colony SHO Naseem Farooqi, Kharadar SHO Zafar Iqbal, Bilal Colony Shabir Mustafa and Korangi Nafees-ur-Rehman.
