The PAF-KIET (Karachi Institute of Economics and Technology) held its 12th convocation ceremony at the PAF Museum Convention Centre on Thursday.
The ceremony was presided over by Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ebad and was also attended by Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force.
While addressing the
students and faculty members Ebad emphasised on the
importance of higher education and the significance of
research and development
for the progress of the country.
Earlier, President of the institute Air Vice Marshal (retd) Tubrez Asif in his welcome address praised the efforts of the faculty in making PAF-KIET a prestigious institution of the country.
Later, the chief guest awarded Gold and Silver medals to the distinguished students.
A total of 570 graduates were conferred degrees in the disciplines of Management Sciences, Computer Sciences and Engineering.
Gold Medalists included Nida Shaikh (BBA), M Zahid Islam (BSCS), Bilal Ahmed Shaikh (BE), Saba Khan (BS-TF), Sadaf Malik (BS-AF), Hallar Memon (BS-ERP), Syed Mustafa Ali (MBA), Abdul Rehman (MBA-ERP), Muhammed Hussain (MCS), Tooba Tanveer (MCA) and Muhammed Haris (MSCS).
