Two suspected criminals were killed in shootouts with police on Saturday.
In North Karachi, four men were robbing people near Siddique Market when a police team intercepted them. The suspects opened fire and tried to escape, but one of them was killed retaliatory firing and another was arrested. The dead man was identified as Syed Kamal and his accomplice as Owais. Police recovered two TT pistols and the snatched items.
In Korangi Industrial Area, a notorious criminal Ashiq Ali Jalbani was killed in an encounter with Special Investigation Unit (SIU) police near the Malir River.
