If you want to register a complaint with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) or make a suggestion, simply send a text message to the agency, the FIA Sindh director announced on Saturday.
Type “FIA” followed by your complaint or suggestion and then send the text message to 8398, said Shahid Hayat while addressing a press conference at his office. Hayat said that through this facility, citizens could talk to FIA officers and inform them about financial crimes and their problems regarding frauds, ask them questions as well as register complaints against FIA officials.
He said the agency would give a prompt response to all messages and would not divulge any information shared by the citizens, adding that the service was available all across Pakistan.
“If somebody misuses this service, sends an inappropriate message or a fake complaint, his number would be blocked and punitive action would be taken against the person,” warned the FIA chief.
