KARACHI: K-Electric (KE) has received first position in the 10th Employers’ Federation of Pakistan (EFP) Occupational Health, Safety and Environment (OHSE) award in the oil, gas, and energy sector.
According to the statement issued Wednesday, the KE was selected out of 26 companies, which were assessed by a group of independent auditors. The KE won this award in recognition of best safety practices for its employees and management, and commitment towards continual improvement of OHSE.
The award is given to companies displaying the best health, safety and environment (HSE) management and emergency response systems, policies, OHSE implementation and performance assessment, minimum industrial accidents and occupational disease control. KE spokesman said, “In order to be a responsible corporate citizen and a partner of choice worldwide, we remain committed to uphold the highest standards of health, safety and environment management.”
