KARACHI: Siemens Pakistan wrapped up its relief efforts for the 2010 and 2011 floods by donating Rs0.4 million towards a women handicraft centre in District Sujawal, bringing the company’s total flood relief efforts for Pakistan to Rs267.5 million.

The donation was handed over by Siemens Pakistan CEO Guenter Zwickl to Commander Jaffar of the Pakistan Navy, which established the handicraft centre.

Speaking on the occasion, Zwickl said that Siemens has a long association with Pakistan and is always ready to help when the company’s assistance is required.

The latest donation brings to an end the more than two-year-long effort by Siemens to help the people affected by the disastrous 2010 and 2011 floods.
