Butchers observe strike From Our Correspondent NANKANA SAHIB: Butchers of the city Thursday observed a complete strike against the Punjab government’s decision on restriction of slaughtering of female animals. Talking to reporters, butchers association leader Rana Muhammad Ilyas said availability of animals has become difficult due to the decision of the Punjab government. OUTAGES ANGER LOCALS: The unscheduled loadshedding from 12 to 14 hours in the city and its outskirts has paralysed daily routine of life. The loadshedding has affected the business community to a greater extent. The locals demanded the Wapda high-ups look into the matter. DRUG PEDDLER HELD: City police arrested a drug peddler at Gosia colony on Thursday. Reportedly, on a tip off, the police arrested Aslam Masih and recovered thirty litres liquor from him. SHO APPOINTED: District Police Officer (DPO) Shahzada Sultan Thursday appointed Abid Mehmood as SHO police station Sangla Hill.
