MANSEHRA: The police on Thursday claimed to have arrested the alleged killer of Naheed Parveen Rehman, Director Orangi Pilot Project, Karachi.
DSP Zulfiqar Khan Jadoon told a press conference at his office that the police took action on a tip-off about the presence of Ahmad Ali alias Papu Shah Kashmiri at a house in Kashmiri Bazaar. He was flanked by Inspector Crime Scene Unit, Karachi Tariq Jadoon, and investigation officer New Town Police Station Inspector Fareeduddin.
The DSP said the target killer was wanted in many cases in Karachi and he had been living in a rented building in Mansehra for the last couple of years.“We have also initiated legal formalities to take action against the owner of houses where the target killers have been living in secret for the last couple of years,” he said.
