NOWSHERA: Two suspected militants were arrested in a raid in Akora Khattak here on Saturday, official sources claimed. The sources said officials from the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) Peshawar along with the personnel of the security forces and secret agencies apprehended the two militants aligned with the outlawed Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Mohmand Agency chapter and Jamaatul Ahrar.
The arrested militants, believed to be Afghan nationals, had come from Afghanistan to carry out acts of subversion in Nowshera and Peshawar, the sources added. The accused, whose names were not disclosed to media, were taken to an unknown place for questioning. The sources claimed the detained men had carried out several acts of sabotage.
