LAHORE: Former PML-N MNA Hanif Abbasi was criticised by Pakistan Tehreek e Insaaf leadership for his ‘incompetence’ over the Rawalpindi Metro Bus project. In a joint statement issued on Saturday, PTI Punjab President Ejaz Chaudhary, General Secretary Dr Yasmin Rashid and Secretary Information Andleeb Abbas said the project had been under construction for over a year in Rawalpindi and Islamabad, but its completion was still not in sight due to the sheer incompetence and ill-planning of Hanif Abbasi. They said due to the massive mess along the Metro Bus route the life of citizens had been paralyzed and all markets alongside the route destroyed. The PTI leaders also posed a question as to who would take the responsibility of losses, faced by the businessmen due to Hanif Abbasi. Secretary General Yasmin Rashid said Pakistan had the expertise to roll out and head such multibillion projects but the Sharif brothers always appointed their near and dear ones.
