Soomro ensures transparent process for state owned enterprises
ISLAMABAD: While chairing huddle of board of privatisation Federal Minister for Aviation and Privatisation Muhammad Mian Soomro reaffirmed on Wednesday that the government's plan to ensure a transparent process and appropriately appraised value for the state owned enterprises.
The minister chaired a meeting of the Board of Privatisation Commission and assured that the process will be completed after fulfillment all constitutional, statutory, regulatory and procedural formalities. The agenda of the board meeting included the progress made on privatisation process of different companies including SME Bank, First Woman's Bank and Mari Petroleum. It was also approved in the meeting that a consortium led by Credit Suisse will act as financial consultants for the privatisation of RLNG power plants. Secretary Privatisation Rizwan Malik was also present in the board meeting.
