LAHORE: For the first time in nearly 16-17 years, police barred the chief of banned Jamaat-ud-Dawah (JuD), Hafiz Mohammad Saeed, from delivering Friday sermon and leading the prayers.
In the absence of Hafiz Mohammad Saeed, a JuD worker Abdul Rauf was allowed to deliver sermon and lead Friday prayers. According to a JuD worker, all the party workers guarding the premises and manning the library, book store, kitchen etc., inside the complex had been removed from the place.
