LAHORE: A 22-member delegation of Haryana (India) Assembly led by Speaker Kuldeep Sharma has arrived in Pakistan on a four-day visit. Speaker Punjab Assembly Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan received the delegation at the Wagah border and presented a bouquet. Provincial Minister Ch. Abdul Ghafoor, Member Provincial Assembly Sheheryar, Rahila Khadim Hussain, Saima Aziz, Farah Deeba and Maj (retd) Zulfiqar Gondal were also present.


Talking to media men, Speaker Haryana Assembly Kuldeep Sharma said they had come to Pakistan on the invitation of Speaker Punjab Assembly Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan. He said that with the exchange of delegations, the people of both countries would have an opportunity to express their sentiments and point of views.


He said the delegation from Haryana was an all parties’ delegation of India. He said the welcome accorded to the delegation reflected the love between the two countries. Speaker Punjab Assembly Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan said the exchange of parliamentary delegations would provide an opportunity to the people of both countries to come closer to each other. He reciprocated the sentiments of the love expressed by the Indian delegation.
