Justice Jawwad S Khawaja to assume office of CJ on 17th

ISLAMABAD: Justice Jawwad S Khawaja will assume the office of the country’s new Chief Justice on the 17th of this month. President Mamnoon Hussain will administer oath of the office at the Presidency. The outgoing Chief Justice Justice Amirul Mulk will also be present in the ceremony. According to sources of the Presidency, befitting arrangements are being made for the ceremony. Justice Jawwad S Khawaja will continue to be the Chief Justice of Pakistan till 19th of October this year. Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali will become the Chief Justice of the country on the 19th of October upon the retirement of Justice Jawwad S Khawaja, the sources said.
