MARDAN: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak has said if the province does not get its due rights, there will be a fire across country.
Addressing a ceremony here on Sunday, the chief minister said that they would go to any extent for the rights of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa if the central government did not give them their rights.
He said that injustice to them with regard to loadshedding should be stopped.He noted that his provincial government had completed development projects with limited resources and it was a record. He expressed no tolerance for corrupt practices in the province.
He further said that they won’t let the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor pass through the province if they were denied share in the project.Chief Minister Khattak said that though the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) had imposed restriction on Imran Khan’s rallies in the province, the workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) should not be disappointed.
He said that such a local bodies’ system would be introduced in the province that power would be delegated to the lower level in letter and spirit, adding that the local bodies’ representatives would be given 40 percent of the provincial development fund.He said that provincial accountability commission was impartial and the political interference in the provincial police department had been banned.
