RAWALPINDI: Six officials from the Rawalpindi office of IT Company Axact arrived at the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) office for questioning on Thursday.
Those appearing before the FIA included Axact Regional Head Colonel (R) Jamil Ahmed, Senior Manager Safety and Security Colonel (R) Muhammad Younis, Assistant Manager HR Abid Khan, Assistant Manager IT Muhammad Amjad, Sales Leads Hasnainur Rehman and Sajjad Haider.
The six officials of the company were issued notices on Wednesday to appear before the FIA. The inquiry of the fake degree scandal is being led by Deputy Director Corporate Branch Jalil Khan while FIA Cyber Crime Circle teams from across the country have been called to Karachi. – PPI
Online adds: Meanwhile, the Interior Ministry has given the permission to Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to register cases against Axact for allegedly running a diploma factory as alleged by New York Times.
According to details, FIA had sought permission from the ministry to register cases against Axact in light of its investigation and evidence. The cases would be registered in Islamabad and Karachi. FIA raids Axact offices again and seizes more records.Meanwhile, the Federal Bureau of Revenue (FBR) has also summoned details of taxes and assets of the company.
