KARACHI: Mad Max Fury Road is a 2015 action film directed, produced and co-written by George Miller, and the fourth film of Miller’s Mad Max franchise.
Geo Films will bring the best movie of the year so far in Pakistan on Friday (today). The first film of the franchise in 30 years, Fury Road stars Tom Hardy as “Mad” Max Rockatansky along with Charlize Theron, Nicholas Hoult and Hugh Keays-Byrne.
The film is set in a future desert wasteland where gasoline and water are scarce commodities, with Max (Hardy) joining forces with Imperator Furiosa (Theron) to run away from cult leader Immortan Joe (Keays-Byrne) and his army’s pursuit.
When Imperator Furiosa (Charlize Theron) leads a band of rebels on a daring escape through the Wasteland, she forges an alliance with haunted loner Max Rockatansky (Tom Hardy). Together, they embark on a high-speed race through the desert, pursued relentlessly by the gangs of the apocalypse.
Critics have praised the film for its acting, screenplay, action sequences, stunts, and direction. The Daily Telegraph gave the film full five stars and praised it for its acting, screenplay, choreography, stunts, humor, and direction calling the film a “spiritual sequel”.
The Guardian awarded the film four stars out of five, The New York Times wrote, “Miller has reminded us that blockbusters have the potential to not only be art, but radically visionary – even the fourth in a series. Forbes gave the film 10/10 stars and wrote, “Mad Max: Fury Road is a remarkable and glorious motion picture.
