NFC proposal sent to president

ISLAMABAD: A proposal has been sent to president for the constitution of the 9th National Finance Commission (NFC).
The proposal has been mooted by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar through the prime minister following receipt of nomination for the purpose from Sindh government. Other provinces had sent their nominations two months ago. Apart from the federal and provincial finance ministers, other members of the commission are Ayesha Ghous Pasha from Punjab, Saleem Mandviwala from from Punjab, Saleem Mandviwala from Sindh, Professor Ibrahim Khan from KP and Qaisar Bangali from Balochistan.
The first meeting of the NFC will be held as soon as its constitution is approved by the president. President Mamnoon Hussain also congratulated rice exporters for playing key role in economic progress of the country.
Addressing the award distribution ceremony here he urged the rice exporters to focus on markets of Far East and Central Asian Republics. He said that export of rice could be enhanced up to four billion dollars by taking effective measures.
