KARACHI: Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad was not invited to the high-level meeting on the ongoing targeted operation in Karachi chaired by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at the PAF Base Faisal on Wednesday.
The governor was also not invited to receive the prime minister at the Karachi airport minister at the Karachi airport but he reached the airport on his own, The News has learnt.
Normally such meetings regarding the law and order situation of metropolitan are held at the Governor House and Governor Ebad always remained active and main part of the meetings, but this time the meeting was held at PAF Faisal Base.
Well-placed sources are of the view that head of the law enforcing agencies showed their reservations for holding any meeting on Karachi law and order situation at the Governor House, especially in the presence of Dr Ebad.
The law enforcers are of the view that the Sindh governor is playing a double role, added the sources.All the Wednesday’s activities and developments suggest that more hard times could be faced by the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) in coming days.
