Say no to plastic
Research has shown that our oceans are polluted with plastic. And one of the most recognizable plastic pollution are plastic bottles. Pakistan has a hot and humid climate therefore consumption of bottled drinks is very high. In Pakistan all drinks used to be available in glass bottles but now only a handful of companies only use glass bottles. With increasing tourism, the use of bottled drinks and it's pollution will increase.
Therefore, I request the government of Pakistan to ban the use of plastic bottles and ask all drink companies to start using glass bottles by 2021. The government should also issue directives for cleaning, disinfecting before reusing glass bottles by companies. This will reduce pollution, increase jobs in the glass industry but the government might have to provide retooling loans to the plastic industry so they can manufacture new products.
