LAHORE: Punjab Wildlife Department decided to increase medical checkup of wild animals kept in safari parks and zoos across the province here on Tuesday. Officials said the move was initiated after the reports that a tiger in New York tested positive for coronavirus. They said veterinary doctors were directed to check every wild animal and submit their reports to the department within the next two days. Officials said Minister for Wildlife said that screening of all employees who were in direct contact with wild animals should be done. The minister said all employees should strictly act on the SOPs made for the prevailing situation.
