Medical staff given protective kits

LAHORE:Lahore General Hospital administration is fully mobilised against the coronavirus and will provide maximum protection to doctors, nurses and paramedics serving on the frontline against the disease.

According to a press statement, a large number of protective kits have been provided to them so that they can continue treatment without any fear of the virus. According to the details, during the last 13 days, the administration of the Lahore General Hospital (LGH) distributed 57,680 surgical masks and 1,365 NS 95/99 masks among the doctors and other medical staff.

Similarly, 411 personal protective kits, more than 2,600 blue gowns and a large quantity of sanitizer were also provided to doctors, nurses and paramedical staff. Talking about this, Postgraduate Medical Institute/Ameer Uddin Medical College Principal Prof Dr Sardar Muhammad Al-freed Zafar said that extensive steps had been taken at the LGH to protect the medical staff from coronavirus. He said, “Our top priority are the doctors, nurses and paramedics fighting on the frontline against coronavirus and they are the heroes of the nation.” LGH Medical Superintendent Dr Mahmood Salah Uddin said the patients and employees would be provided with protection.
