Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) Chairman Syed Mustafa Kamal on Monday appealed to the philanthropists and the affluent people to generously contribute to the PSP Foundation, the party-affiliated charity, “with a vision to heal the financial sufferings of the deadly coronavirus-hit citizens across the country”.

He said the poor and the white-collar families of the country, who were already going through an economic distress owing to unprecedented inflation, were now suffering from starvation due to the ongoing inevitable lockdown across the country.

Kamal said for the past thirteen days, the PSP Foundation had been providing rations and food supplies to the poor localities and downtrodden families on its own with the available resources.

“A human tragedy caused by the spread of the coronavirus is so intense and widespread that no single government, institution or political party can supply goods and services to the people alone,” he said.

"Therefore, I am wholeheartedly appealing to all the Pakistanis living around the world in general, philanthropists and well-off people in particular, who are well aware of our character and capabilities, must support the PSP Foundation in this testing time so that PSP workers will not only be able to provide assistance to a vast number of afflicted families, but also prevent the day by day progressing humanitarian catastrophe owing to a massive surge of the coronavirus outbreak,” he stated.

He said the philanthropists and the people believing in humanity should generously support “the extensive PSP charity set up across the country”. Kamal said the charity's purpose was to serve the humanity in order to achieve the blessings of Allah. "At a time when people are facing difficulty in getting out of the homes due to the coronavirus outbreak in the country, thousands of PSP workers are moving out of their homes to help distressed families; we only seek reward from Allah," said the PSP chief.
