A few days ago, a 14-year-old boy was cruelly killed in Rawalpindi after having been kidnapped. The unidentified kidnappers demanded Rs14 lakh as ransom from the family. When the family failed to provide the ransom, they murdered the boy.
Unfortunately, the local law-enforcement agencies seem helpless in curbing the high rate of kidnappings in the country. There is an urgent need to hunt these criminals down and bring them to justice before more innocent people are kidnapped and murdered.
