No country can progress unless the majority of its people are literate. It is strange that, despite possessing vast intellect and witnessing high capital growth, the crime rate in developed countries is on the upward trajectory – especially mass killings in educational institutions.
There is no doubt that education is human capital but at the same time it should promote equality and simple living. There should not be a notion of rank and riches, and human equality should be physically seen and practised. Targeting human capital only will lead to disaster.
