Dwelling in the 21st century, have you ever heard of the demise of more than thousand people in a couple of days owing to sweltering heat, with temperatures hovering around 46 degrees Celsius, propelled by bouts of recurrent loadshedding? If not, then welcome to Pakistan. Welcome to Karachi. Welcome to a place where you would find managers and manipulators rather than leaders. Welcome to a place where you would find reverence for wealth but not for human life. Welcome to a place where savagery exists under the garb of civility. But most importantly welcome to a place where death reigns supreme.
The status quo in Pakistan, Karachi in particular, is reminiscent of the depravity suffered by the people preceding the French Revolution, which compelled them to overthrow the monarchy.
