Dear Islamabad Traffic Police, where are you these days since we Islooites have started missing traffics wardens the city was once so proud of, especially when they use to fine wayward VIP drivers at the Kulsum Hospital intersection. Just to let you know that the traffic is a mess out at Jinnah Avenue these days. The lanes are so narrow now and with construction debris still lying around we have to zigzag past all sorts of objects and hurdles.
Pedestrians are trying to cross over Jinnah Avenue back to the Nazimuddin side after buying food from the Blue Area. Confused drivers are going around in circles trying to figure out how to reach the only PSO on the main Jinnah Avenue before the petrol needle touches E. Taxi, van and SUV drivers take the liberty – in your absence – to park their vehicles on walkways, this-way, that-way, anyway but the correct way. Bikes fly past from the extreme left to the extreme right. To add insult to the once beautiful garden city we have recently spotted plastic flowers in pots on roadsides in Isloo. ITP, please come back and please bring the CDA along.
