President Xi Jinping’s visit is of great significance to us – both diplomatically and economically. The visit will further expand and deepen relations between the two countries. Besides other agreements, the Exchange of Prisoners Agreement would benefit Pakistani prisoners languishing in Chinese prisons.
The deals signed between China and Pakistan are worth $42 billion and the whole of the investment is being made by China. Pakistan has for decades been China’s closest ally and Beijing is a major trading partner and key supplier of military technology to Islamabad. Pakistan has always had exemplary relations with China. This kind of outstanding closeness has been possible only due to long-term and consistent goodwill that both countries have extended towards each other.
