The population of Lahore has almost touched the 10 million mark and is growing at a rapid pace. To meet the requirement of this fast-growing population, it is imperative to meet challenges of infrastructure development in the city.
In this regard, the initiative taken by the Punjab CM to make Jail Road and Main Boulevard, Gulberg signal free by constructing underpasses and U-turns is very commendable. The LDA has been told to complete this project within four months. Besides saving fuel and time, this project will be extremely beneficial for ambulances which get stuck in heavy traffic jams in these areas.
