Our public sector organisations have been sinking deeper and deeper into a vortex. The multiple crises – leadership, administrative, financial, moral, etc – engulfing these organisations are affecting their productivity, which is disappointingly low.
Despite this, our self-centred rulers are doing nothing to revitalise these sick units. Instead of hiring people on merit, they are recruiting or re-hiring incompetent people. Some of them are being given extensions but the criterion is anything but competence, character and good work. These chosen few never bother to work for the interests of an organisation but make every effort to promote themselves and their families and that too at the cost of the exchequer. What a country we have where there is no justice at all.
