KARACHI: Pakistan’s Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi and his partner Gilles Muller from Luxembourg moved into the second round of men’s doubles at US Open on Thursday.
Unseeded Aisam and Muller, ranked 46th and 151st, respectively, defeated Serbian pair of Dusan Lajovic and Viktor Troicki 6-3, 6-3 in the first round of the last grand slam of the year.
Aisam has played US Open eight times and his best performance came in 2008 when he was one of the finalists.
