Ansar Burney condemns kidnapping of Pak fishermen by Indian Navy
KARACHI: The Chairman of Ansar Burney Trust International and Pakistan’s former Federal Minister for Human Rights Ansar Burney Advocate has requested Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Interior at Islamabad and Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi, India to take cognisance of an incident whereby on 5th February, 2016, Indian Navy has allegedly entered Pakistani waters at Kajhar Creek and kidnapped a Pakistani fishing boat “Al-Shehnaz” registered No. 16588-B along with 11 poor fishermen including four under-aged children.
The families of kidnapped fishermen has approached the Ansar Burney Trust International and apprised the kidnapping of their loved ones by Indian Navy to the Manager of the Trust Mohammad Danish Ali.
Ansar Burney Advocate, requested President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif along with Federal Minister of Interior Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and Sartaj Aziz Adviser to Prime Minister for Foreign Affairs to take cognisance of this sheer violation on part of Indian Navy by intruding into Pakistani waters and taking away poor and innocent fishermen and their boat without any reason or justification.
In his letter Ansar Burney urged the government of Pakistan to take strict stance upon the same and take up this issue with concerned authorities of Indian government including Indian High Commission at Islamabad to ensure the safe and sound release and return of these fishermen including the minor/under aged children to Pakistan.
