BANNU: All Parties Siyasi Itthihad and Siyasi Youth have urged the government to ensure all facilities in the areas of North Waziristan Agency which have been cleared of militants.
Speaking at a press club here on Thursday, leaders of all political parties said that sending back tribespeople to native areas without rehabilitating the damaged facilities was not a proper step. The political leaders, including Malik Ghulam Khan, Nisar Ali Khan, Abdul Khalil Khan, Imshadullah Khan, Farhad Ali, Gul Daraz Khan, Malik Akbar Khan, Farhad Ali, Nasir Khan and others also asked the government to recover the valuables stolen from the houses of the displaced tribespeople. They said the infrastructure in the cleared areas had been destroyed where the tribespeople were being sent back. The tribal leaders asked the government to ensure provision of facilities in the cleared areas, give proper compensation for the damaged infrastructure and establish schools and colleges to help tribespeople resume normal life in native areas.
