KEL receives CSR Award
KARACHI: K-Electric Limited has earned the Corporate Social Responsibility Excellence Awards for the fifth time at the eighth International CSR Summit, a statement said on Thursday.
The event was organised by the National Forum for Environment and Health (NFEH) in collaboration with the Shahid Afridi Foundation, Pakistan Water Partnership and Open Karachi, it said.
The award marked the recognition of those organisations that have made extraordinary contributions in the society through CSR initiatives.
KEL received an award for excellence in ‘Social Impact’ category. It is an acknowledgement for its ongoing commitment towards community, at large, especially in the areas of energy conservation, as well as health and youth development, the statement said.
KEL under its Social Investment Program empowers welfare partners by facilitating them through free / subsidised electricity and system enhancement projects. The impact of this initiative is over 3.4 million individuals annually.
