Call to consult teachers on admin changes in varsities

Federation of All Pakistan Universities Academic Staff Association Punjab President Prof Dr Hasan Mobeen Alam and Secretary Punjab University Academic Staff Association Dr Mahboob Hussain in a joint press statement have said that the teachers of universities would not accept any change in the administrative structure of the universities in Punjab in which elected representatives of teachers have not been consulted.
They said that it was learnt that a proposal was being forwarded to the chief minister to appoint three pro-vice-chancellors in a university without taking input from the university teachers and all the faculty members of the universities would resist any such move or decision. —Correspondent
